If you’re planning to visit Cagayan de Oro or nearby places, Dahilayan Forest Park in Bukidnon should be included in your bucket list. Nestled at the foot of Mount Kitanglad 4,700 feet above sea level, this park is more than just a place to relax but also a destination for adventure seekers as it offers a wide range of exciting outdoor rides and activities. You can try their famous Forest Luge (the first Mountain Luge ride in the Philippines), ATV and Buggy Trail Adventure, Treetop Adventure, Zorbit, Barrel Train, Bumper Boat, Hanging Bridge and a lot more.
You have four options to go to Dahilayan Forest Park if you’re coming from Cagayan de Oro City:
Option 1 – Recommended for Solo Traveler
Go to the Agora Bus Terminal/Market City and take a van to Brgy. Camp Philips, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. (P60). Once you’re in Camp Philips, take a habal-habal (motorcycle) ride to Dahilayan Adventure & Forest Park (P200 – P300 per person). Prepare for a mask or handkerchief to cover and protect your nose from dust. Some portions of the route are dusty due to rough road.
Option 2 – Recommended for Group Travelers
Go to the Agora Bus Terminal/Market City and take a van directly to Dahilayan Forest Park. One way trip fare is P300 each. But you have to wait for other passengers.
Option 3 – Recommended for Group Travelers (We tried this option)
Go to the Agora Bus Terminal/Market City and take a taxi ride to Dahilayan Adventure & Forest Park. Travel time is 2hr to 2.5hr. One way trip fare is P1300. Ideal for group travelers. (P325 each for 4 persons)
Option 4 – Recommended for Solo Traveler
Shuttle rides are also offered by the Dahilayan Adventure and Forest Park every Saturdays.

Travel Tips When You Visit Dahilayan Forest Park
- The weather in Dahilayan Forest Park is so cold so you have to bring your own jacket (It’s like visiting Baguio or Tagaytay)
- To better enjoy the scenic views and try all the rides, you have to spend at least 1 day in this park. We weren’t able to try their rides since we have a very limited time. We just explored the Forest Park and took some pictures. (we arrived at 10pm and left the park at 9:30am the next day).
- If you can spend 2 days in Bukidnon, you can also try to visit the Dahilayan Adventure Park, where you can try the longest dual zipline in Asia (840 meters of pure speed and adrenaline)
